    What one thing would you change about skiing: Sometimes the temperature!
     
    Person you look up to most in sport: I met freestyle skier Steve Omischl (also from North Bay, Ont.) at a local grocery store when I was eight years old. He signed a poster saying, “To Mike, stick with the skiing, you never know how far you can go!” Ever since then, I’ve always looked back on that moment and still look up to him as a role model.
     
    On your iPod: Skrillex, DJ Klaas, Eminem, Nickelback and anything Dubstep.
     
    Favourite movie: My favourite movie is The Hurt Locker, because it is action packed!
     
    Favourite hockey team: The Canadian Sledge Hockey Team. Those athletes continue to amaze me as I play sledge hockey at a local level in North Bay.
     
    If you could have dinner with anyone, living or dead, who would it be and why? I would have dinner with Sir Ludwig Guttman because he created the Paralympic Games. He had a vision for disabled athletes to be competitive and I admire his compassion for disabled athletes around the world.

    Something no-one knows about you: I always rely on my gum to get me through the day.
     
    Favourite activities other than skiing: Swimming, biking, golfing, Frisbee and tubing.
     
    Superstitions: Getting bib number 23 because it is my favourite number.
     
    If a movie was made about your life, who should play the lead role? Michael Cera, because apparently I look like him!

    What’s a talent you wish you had? To be competitive at golf.
     
    If you weren’t a skier what would you be? An entrepreneur.

    Most embarrassing moment: Going to camp . . . it’s a long story!
